Location: Hybrid (Humber North, Lakeshore, & Downtown Campuses) 
Position Type: Full-Time Permanent, 40 hours/week 
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 annually

In this newly created role, the Coordinator, Promotions plays a key support role in the planning, coordination, and execution of promotional activities and student engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Manager, Promotions, this role helps bring IGNITE’s brand to life through on-campus and digital activations that enhance the student experience. Working across multiple campuses, the Coordinator will assist with logistics, vendor coordination, promotional material distribution, and promotional activation execution, ensuring all activities align with IGNITE’s strategic goals and values.   
What you can expect in a Coordinator, Promotions Role at IGNITE:  
 
PROMOTIONAL PLANNING & EXECUTION 
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of promotional campaigns and activations 
  • Conduct research of promotional activation trends and innovative ideas to support planning and ideation of new/future activations and promotions  
  • Coordinate logistics including booking spaces, sourcing vendors, obtaining quotes, ordering supplies, and managing promotional inventory 
  • Oversee and assist with the setup and takedown of promotional activations, including AV and tech requirements 
  • Liaise with vendors and institutional partners to ensure smooth execution of activities 
 
STUDENT ENGAGEMENT 
  • Help develop and implement strategies to increase student awareness and participation 
  • Distribute promotional materials across campus and online platforms 
  • Collect and compile student feedback and participation data 
  • Support partnerships with equity hubs and student groups for inclusive engagement 
 
ADMINISTRATIVE & OPERATIONAL SUPPORT 
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager, Promotions on tasks related to project intake, training, team operations, and vendor coordination 
  • Support reporting and insights by evaluating marketing effectiveness using student feedback and survey data 
  • Track resource allocation and usage across various projects 
 
TEAM LEADERSHIP & STUDENT SUPERVISION 
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the part-time student Brand Ambassadors; responsible for scheduling, confirming hours for payroll and day-to-day performance management 
  • Provide direction and quality checks for student deliverables 
  • Support training and onboarding of new student staff 
 
COLLABORATION & STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATION 
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team and other departments to execute promotional elements aligned with campaign goals. 
  • Support internal clients with marketing requests and provide updates on deliverables. 
  • Participate in creative brainstorms and contribute to brand evolution discussions. 
 
What IGNITE will expect from you: 
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Social Services, Education, Psychology or related field  
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in student services, program coordination, or administrative support.   
  • Strong event coordination and organizational skills.  
  • Experience in student engagement, leadership development, or wellness programming.  
  • Understanding of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging principles.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with student service platforms.  
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.  
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to manage competing priorities.  
  • Sound leadership and supervisory abilities.  
  • Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement.  
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines

Compensation
